Another great score from Amazon. 30lbs, 300+ watts in this format, 600 with an additional 12t cab (or any 4 ohm load). The ease with which this thing loads in and out of a gig or rehearsal is just fantastic. This thing is also plenty powerful to hang with a full band- even one with a loud drummer, loud Hammond keys, and a couple guitars. With the DI out, any gig with PA support is a cinch. The DI is excellent, with ground lift, pre/post switch, and a mic / line level switch. Need more output? Add the 12t extension cab for truly awesome full 600w output in a very modular and light package, or pair the Shuttle 6 head with a larger 4 ohm cabinet or pair of matched cabinets. Both the Shuttle 6 12t combo and 12t extension cab fit in the trunk of my compact car with room to spare.

I love the package of this whole thing. The cabinet is an ideal compromise between small size, low weight and sheer output capability. This is a fantastic, efficient and very well constructed 1x12, not just some lackluster budget add-on. The sheer output this tiny little thing is capable of is astounding. There is a tilt back foot that I find myself using all the time. The saddle / handle holds the Shuttle 6 head with two beefy thumb screws. Once removed, the amp itself is amazingly light, but incredibly well constructed. The attention to detail is impressive. The layout of the controls couldn't be better executed. The sound is very clean and even, though some may complain that it lacks the character (coloration) of other similar amps.

I was tempted to take away a star because I have to admit, I am not 100% satisfied with it. However the shortcomings I find are not really the fault of the product, rather my desire for more power and higher sound quality than a package this size can possibly deliver (I'm currently building a fEARful 15/6 and a 12/6, more info at greenby.info or talkbass.com). But what this does deliver is truly outstanding. Score the deal I did a few months back (right around the MSRP of the amp head alone), and it is a screaming deal.
