The Barcus-Berry clamp on bridge does exactly what it was supposed to do. It works great and produces a natural violin sound through my amp. My daughter plays fiddle professionaly with our band and she uses my old steel guitar amp, a Nashville 400, and it sounds great. It does dampen the sound of the fiddle acoustically but that's not important to us. No feed back when the fiddle points towards the amp is a big plus also. Highly recommended to anyone who needs to be able to remove the pickup. My daughter has played several gigs with it and it's still as tight as when she installed it. It stays put.
