We had read the various reviews and thought this violin would be worth a go for our son, to allow him to practice more quietly. We just wasted our time and I'm sure some shipping charges.

The Good - price... cool looking design... price

The Bad - the finish really wasn't very good. It really wasn't much better than you'd get from a can of Krylon. The strings are poor quality, to the point one broke during initial tuning.

The Ugly - The sound was horrible and worse yet, there were cracks in the frame near the chin rest. Those cracks should have had this tossed off the assembly line.

After 15 minutes with this violin, it was apparent it needed to be returned.
