Made in the U.S.A as they always have been.Gibson Flying V Melody Maker Electric Guitar, Satin Blue Review
These are designed as a budget model, so they have made some changes. The fingerboard is "baked maple" not rosewood, the body is maple, not mahogany. They did keep the necks mahogany. For this price they beat the hell out of Mexicaster's from Fender. They actually come set up better than my 2,000 dollar Gibson Les Paul. Go figure why Gibson does the things they do. Decent tone, playable and a steal at the price I paid. This series also has Glued in "set necks" like a real Gibson should and are lightweight for people who don't want a boat anchor strapped around them. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Gibson Flying V Melody Maker Electric Guitar, Satin Blue" are high quality item.
