Let's start by saying that Washburn Makes some great instruments, but this little mandolin isn't one of them.1st time setup was impossible unless you are an experienced Luthier, which is where I ended taking mine after 2 days of attempted setup, no matter what I did 3 of the strings always resonated badly (isonotation). Which, by the way required replacment right outta the box, they looked old and worn, with dark blemish's on the brass strings. The rosewood bridge has a narrow footprint and is easily knocked over during stringing.
Right outta the box, I was displeased, no where in the item description was the "made in China" disclosed, And I would have returned it right then and there, but amazon would charge a 20% return fee. The hardware on the Mandolin
is quite cheap, the tuning pegs are of poor quality, some tune easily, while others are quite tight.
The product claims a $350.00 list price, thats a joke, a friend has a 69.00 rouge, and i gotta say, it's of better quality than this Washburn.
