Squier by Fender Classic Vibe 50's Precision Bass, Butterscotch Blonde Review

I'm an experienced musician with 1200+ gigs under my belt. I've owned basses by Alembic, Pedulla, Paul Reed Smith, Carvin, Peavey, Warwick, Fender, Mike Lull, Steinberger, and Gibson. Now, I'm not here to claim that a Squier sounds better than any or all of these brands. But I can say with all honesty that the Classic Vibe series is an awesome deal for the money. My Lull J-Bass is incredibly easy to play and gets that great modern tone, but it's like putting a crazy driver behind the wheel of a fast car. My playing on the Lull tends to get overly busy and loud. I bought the Squier specifically because it's harder to play, has an old school tone, and steers my playing back into the groove. It's also the lightest bass I've ever owned, and stays in tune very well. I'd recommend it to anybody.
