I had one of those box kit guitars that worked well for some practice but I can tell you upgrading to this was a dream come true, I feel like my fingers just roll around across the frets and such lovely music flows out. I'm truely an amateur but I am getting better and I like the way this one feels. The edge III bridge makes tuning entertaining if you've never had one before but it wasn't hard to figure out. It holds tuning quite nicely, I'm not crazy but I do strum fairly intensely and do some bends and she seems to hold her tone quite well. I'd recommend it for someone looking for a good upgrade but not looking to break the bank. The paint is more a dying grass color, the light yellow green you see when you left something on the grass and it's almost dead so more green than like a banana but I like that quite a bit.
