T-Rex Sweeper Bass Chorus Review

I have went through several chorus pedals with my bass and T-Rex seems to have nailed the great balance of depth and amount of lows with this pedal. I watched a few youtube videos and saw some great reviews of the pedals on talkbass.com, a must go to site for bass effect reviews and anything bass related for that matter.

The pedal keeps the low end much better than the MXR or Electro Harmonix offerings and can sit well with other pedals. I keep the depth at about 2 o'clock and the rate at about 10 o'clock with an active bass as a reference. The volume knob on the side of the pedal is what makes it so versatile with several different basses. Basses with hotter active pickups seem to work welll with the volume knob rolled back to prevent clipping and the jazz bass I own with passives can be used with the volume wide open.

I found the pedal easy to use and the depth and rate knobs work well. Build quality seems very good. I see T-Rex is well known for quality builds and it shows with the metal case, smooth knobs and good jacks. There are alot of chorus pedals out there with good bass response, I have owned many and the T-Rex is the one I am holding onto. I sold my Boss and EHX pedals when I got this one and have no remorse.
