Product Description

The HardLuck Kings (HLK) Chop Shop series Southern Belle has a solid Alder body with a maple bolt on neck. The Scale is 25.5" (648mm), the width at the nut is1.650" (42mm), body thickness is1.650" (42mm), with an 11" neck radius. The Belle has a satin matte black finish on the body, neck and headstock. It sports 21 medium-jumbo frets, all immaculately dressed and polished on a rosewood fret board with custom 'X' acrylic inlays. The chrome hardware, 3 ply pick guard and chrome metal dome knobs really pop against the matte black finish. It's complete with die cast tuners, a fixed bridge, two way adjustable truss rod, and a bone nut. The electronic controls consist of 1 volume / 1 tone & a 3-position blade. The Belle is equipped with two HLK Alnico 5 single coil pick ups. The strings are D'Addario 9 gauge XL Nickel Round Wound. All HLK guitars are professionally set up prior to shipping. I have never owned a brand new guitar before this one. I have owned dozens of guitars over the years and worked on and built maybe thousands. No joke.
That being said, my guitar came to me seemingly non set up. Intonation was waaay off.
Fixed that and it plays pretty much in tune now.
Still needs the nut filed properly. The String trees kind of suck, but that's an easy fix.
Pickups are good. Not well balanced though.
So, I'm not really sure why, but I really like this guitar! Buy it And get it set up and you might love yours. Finish is good and neck is comfortable. That's all folks
