I just received the natural finish set. WOW! I have been playing drums (in front of people) for well over 42 years. These are unbelievable. The bass drum does thud and not ring when you hit it. Decent bass heads with double ply rings built in. I cut a 4" hole in the front head easier to adjust muffling in Florida weather and humidity.

I sanded the bearing edges on the bass then installed heads. The toms and snare now have tone control rings on them, and I was suprised at the depth and quality of sound. I may be old but I like 70's rock and these can keep up. They would be well suited to jazz, club, rock in any venue, requiring miking only when the room or audience gets larger.

The finish on my set is a wood burl look wrap but absolutely beautiful and the seams are inconspicuous, though they overlap a little. Mounting hardware is Sonor beefy. The bass is jacked up about 3-4" and the rear mount for the pedal is solid also.

Far better made than all other low end drum sets and still less expensive, even after adding hardware.
