The woofers are mounted with screws that are not large enough to retain the woofer during shipping. I ordered 2, one came with the woofer literally bouncing around inside the cardboard box, the grill was broken from the enclosure. I was able to mount the woofer with a few washers to send it back. Amazon was great, overnighted me a replacement. The replacement arrived like the other, where the woofer was hanging on by one screw. Once again, I mounted the woofer with a few washers and sent them back. I was able to test them, during that time they did make an awkward noise, this could be due to damage caused by the mounting issues and shipping causing the woofer to become dislodged and disturbing the cone and voicecoils.
