Odyssey FZ1004 Flight Zone Ata Combo Rack: 10u Slant, 4u Vertical Review

I own a lot of odyssey cases and enjoy them. They are heavier than the plastic alternatives. I've dropped a few of them and have found them to keep the gear safe under even the most strenuous conditions. They are thin plywood glued to a plastic laminate.

the ball corners are steel and the edges are riveted aluminum with a interlocking v joint. The tops fit well. the butterfly hinges are great.

These cases look pro. You can find a better price than amazon, check full compass.

I really like the cord wholes, there are 3 of them, one per each side and then on the back. You will find them under the odyssey bottom label. I've just taken all of mine off so i can slip cords neatly into the case from all sides.

I've heard and played through them all, and this one just has "the sound" ...for me anyway...if you want creamy crunch for rhythms, and violin sounding leads (use a les paul or like I do, prs single cut)...just pony up the cash...it's just money...I freakin love this amp!!...makes crappy riffs sound good...the clean is very nice,...but it's not as cool as my blues deluxe for clean,..but is definitely nice...a little hairy at higher volumes...that's where the 100w version might be a little better....but you don't buy this amp for the clean...it's all about dirty with the amp...just how I like my women...I compared it to my friends mesa mark 5 and I like this better...I hate having to tweak amps forever to get them to sound good...and it takes a while to get a good mesa sound...(tho when you do it's excellent) and it might be more versatile,...but I like how the orange sounds great with whatever changes you make to it...they zeroed in on just what I'm lookin for..!!.
an unexpected extra for the amp was the fx loop...I use a pod hd500 at night when I don't want to awaken the neighborhood, and just for giggles plugged it into the fx return...it makes the hd500 come to life!!...at very low volumes,...so I could record solo's late that still have a little pizzazz...the hd 500 is great for rhythm but has a lifeless quality sometimes for solos....I kinda like it even with the cab simulator on!!..it gets really fat sounding...it's not perfect,..but great for late night noodling...
anyway...I love it and won't be parting with it any time soon...if ever...if it dissappeared, I'd cry, then go buy the 100w head...for lots of money...I'd cheat and lie and steal to get the money...

Oscar Schmidt by Washburn OU7 Long Neck Concert Ukulele Review

Okay, little backstory. I was absolutely taken with the ukulele. I bought a 50 dollar one for my girlfriend as a sort of quirky cute gift; but during the time I was holding it before her birthday...I ended up playing it. And falling in love with the instrument. I then looked for a higher end ukulele; because I was very committed at this point and found myself playing for almost two hours a day.

When I saw the Oscar Schmidt OU7 Concert ukulele. I fell in love. It's absolutely breathtakingly OMG beautiful. And I really mean that; you won't find a prettier ukulele for under $800. People compliment it endlessly; 10 years from now I intend to still have it displayed somewhere in my house due to it's pure loveliness.

The sound; isn't worth the money. At almost 200 dollars this ukulele is all laminate spalted mango wood. At this price range, you really want either something specialized to a specific style of play; or SOLID wood. It is definitely better sounding than anything under 100. But where it's priced now; it can't truly compete with any ukulele even 40 dollars more.

But. If you're a male; I would personally purchase the TENOR version of this ukulele. Females may prefer this one; due to it being smaller hand friendly.

All in all. This ukulele is a beautiful yet overpriced begginer/intermediate ukulele that you may not be able to help but fall in love with. And if you're serious about the ukulele; I would purchase something in the 250 dollar range that has solid wood to it.

PX3BK 88 Key Digital Performance Piano Review

As a 34 year Band & Choir director and professional musician, I've owned a number of weighted digital pianos from Korg to Yamaha to Casio Privia and Celviano models since the 80's. This piano is amazing - the sounds are great and easily tweaked and saved. The "base" piano, organ, instrumental, gm sounds, etc. are great and can be easily mixed, layered and split. I didn't even use the manual for the first 6 weeks I owned it and still had a blast programming it. I've been playing piano since 1964 and this has one of the most real piano actions and touch that I've played. The "ivory touch" keys are just icing on the cake - but I'll take it. Real midi ports, 1/4" outs, headphone jacks, USB connection and memory card round it out as a true professional keyboard - that just so happens to only weigh 23 lbs.

Hardly a problem, but I would have made the buttons a little larger with a little bigger / brighter lettering and maybe a slightly larger display.

I have to admit, I just love to sit at it with a set of good headphones and just play - I've "wasted" many hours doing that since it arrived.
