I purchased my 3000 last year,2010.
I have used it to play restaurants,cafes, small parties(inside and outside)etc.. The sound is professional/clear with nice reverb. At times for larger events I wish I had something a little more powerful, but in general, this PA has not let me down.
I liked the idea of the 10" speakers for guitar.I play electric jazz guitar through one channel and backing tracks through another channel. Also at times used a vocalist in another channel.Have not had any major problems with electronics.The mic that comes with the unit sounds professional too. Simple to use and easy to set up and tear down. Volume is sufficent for most small-medium size gigs.It will get you through larger gigs too, if needed.

I was surprised to find that they've really cheapened the case. It's folded galvanized steel whereas all my other Rane gear has been a screw assembled box. It likely keeps rack rash from rusting and it seems rugged enough considering the box is so light but I was a bit disappointed.

Road Ready RRCFX12 Case for Mackie CFX12MKII Mixer Review

Great case, heavy duty, everything I expected! The lid comes completely off, and there is indeed a trap door where you can plug in your power, so you don't have to take the mixer all the way out of the case. Well-padded and the case looks like it could take a beating and not show a scratch.

The handle isn't as pictured, but the 1/4" "wire" handle does have an insulator around it, which makes comfort of carrying fine for my uses, which is local gigs, and hauling to and from my car. Arrived at the early end of the shipping window, which was just in time for my first gig! Worked out great!

I got this 3 zone pad... actually the extra input available on the TD-9 can only make two sounds work... so this 3 zone pad, which is the one that comes as a ride on the kit actually is doing the same as the much less expensive 2 zone pad.

Rossetti Open Hole Flute, Low B Foot, Case, Key oc C Review

Background: I played flute for 20 years. I had a professional Gemeindhardt, sold it when I got married and set the flute down for 20 years. I'm almost an empty nester and wanted to get back into playing. Not wanting to spend a ton of money, just to make sure it wasn't a passing fancy I chose the Rossetti for the price and the intermediate features. After playing this flute for a few days I realize that it is just like riding a bike, amazed that I still had it :).

Flute Review: Tone is acceptable. The flute needed one screw loosened on one of the keys so that it would remain closed when not depressed. No big deal there. I expected it not to be perfect at that price. However, if your not familiar with how the flute is put together this may pose a serious problem. The lower and higher registers are extremely hard to play. I would not recommend this flute for a student as it is not going to hold up to little clumsy hands (cheaper construction and materials) and it takes more work than it should on the lower and upper registers. I am pleased with it for my situation. As I progress further I will return to the Gemeinhardt KGM solid silver with gold plated lip plate( for tonal quality) and low b open hole flute. But for now, this fits my needs perfectly. If your looking for an instrument for a beginning student, go with the advice of your band teacher, or instructor.

Be advised: My three star rating is from my personal point of view and my situation.
